The book is phenomenal, Actually even your Webinar is well spoken and easy to understand for parents and even for children. My initial thought after reading this and hearing your webinar is that you should go after trying to get a grant or scholarship to put a book like this into like doctors offices, libraries, public areas.. stuff like that for free for people to take advantage of as well as making it available on Amazon. I feel like this is educational and essential for people to know that literally don’t know. You’d think certain stuff is common sense but its actually not especially when it comes to things like boundaries or more importantly a child’s fear of speaking up with certain things and the uncomfortability that lies there, but the way you verse this in your webinar and the way you versed it throughout the book makes it feel easy, manageable, and achievable to have these conversations with your children and empower them in a sense to be able to Say no or come to a parent when something is not right. I feel like it’s essential for all parents. When I was listening to it, I’m like wow my sisters really need this. We have kids and stuff like that who aren’t educated in any form of way so, yeah I do know there is grants and scholarships and that allow you to put out free literature. I mean like this should be in every pediatricians office. - Stacion J.

This book is great! The illustrations are multi cultural and inclusive of all! I’m seeing mixed race families, families of different religious backgrounds everything! I also love that this book is enough to challenge our new readers (like levels 1-2) but also challenges higher level readers as well with different vocabulary like “intuition” and “disclosures”. This also allows parents the space to comprehend the information and are able to really discuss these important lessons with their children in easy to digest pieces!!! This is an amazing book to read and read to your children. Uncomfortable conversations are difficult and even more difficult to have with children. This book makes it very easy to read and explain with your children. Growing up I did not receive conversations on whats a safe or unsafe touch, further more names for private areas were shielded with other names like “birdie”.

It is important to me for my kids to learn boundaries at a early age. Most importantly boundaries when it comes to personal space. They will not have to question if certain touches are ok or not, if its their fault if something happened..and they can absolutely be comfortable and have that trust with their parents to talk about it.

I really enjoyed reading that book to Kioko. I was able to connect with her throughout the entire ABC’s. She even stopped me a few times with questions. The book was awesome. I initially thought it was a children’s book, so I sat down with Valentina to read it to her lol. I was able to use the prompts and explain things to her very easily. She loved the pictures and stayed engaged. When we were done and she asked if she could “read” it herself lol. She scrolled through the pics and remembered some of the things we talked about. Almost like a picture book for her. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a companion children’s book they can read on their own. My grandson is 6 and learning to read, so that would be good for him. Great work Amber!!- Vanessa S.

As a future parent, I plan on using this book as a guide to educate my own children, and I’ll be recommending it to others as a proactive measure to help prevent SA. I would love to see this book, and its accompanying webinar, be presented in schools to raise widespread awareness of safe touch and unsafe touch. By doing so, it could reach children and parents who may not yet have this knowledge, receive the education and confidence they need to start these critical conversations at home.
